From the station
La Residenza di Firenze is 100 metres far from the Railway Station, so you don’t need to take a taxi when you arrive. When you'll be in Railway Station square (Piazza della stazione) you will see the back of the Santa Maria Novella cathedral, you need to walk along the side of it and arrive at Santa Maria Novella Square. The number 22 is on the left, in between Vincanto restaurant and the snack Bar.
From Florence airport
CAR: Located only 4Km from Florence City centre, the airport is easily accessible by car.
Car Rentals are located at “Palagio degli Spini”, connected to the airport by a free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes. The shuttle bus stops is inside the short term car park, just outside the terminal.

BUS: The ‘Amerigo Vespucci’ airport is connected with the city centre by VOLAINBUS, a service provided by BUSITALIA - SITA Nord. This is a really shuttle service (about 20 minutes) between the airport terminal and the centre of Florence: no intermediate stops are made except in the outskirts of the railway station.

TAXI: Taxis are stationed in front of the terminal or can be called by radiotaxi.

From Pisa airport
PISA MOVER:​
The Pisa Airport is about 1 km from Pisa Centrale railway station, from which you can reach any Italian railway network destination.
Within 18th March 2017, at less than 40 metres from the Passenger Terminal at the Pisa Airport, you can find the new, high-speed, fully automatic People Mover service for direct connections between the Pisa Centrale railway station and the airport. The service is available every day from 6:00 AM to midnight at 5/8 minute intervals.

Parking and driving in Florence
The whole area of the historical center of Florence is part of the Unesco Heritage sites and has very strict rules about driving and parking. This area is known as ZTL (Zona a Traffico Limitato), which literally means Limited Traffic Zone. Only cars with special permits are allowed to drive and park within its limits. Cars without permits can expect to pay fines – starting at 100 Euros and up – and might take up to 6 months to reach your mailbox with payment being mandatory. Its known that the city department responsible for these charges issue a large number of fines, every day.
The ZTL is surrounded by several ‘access passages’ which are controlled by telematic doors and marked by special signs. These access passages are equipped with devices that automatically ID the license plate of the car and send the information to a central data base.
NON-RESIDENT and TOURIST ACCESS

Non-authorized cars are prohibited from driving within the ZTL at the following times:
Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 19:30
Saturdays from 07:30 to 18:00
From the first Thursday of April to the first Sunday of October you can’t enter the ZTL at these hours as well:
Every night, from Thursday to Sunday, from 23:00 to 03:00
Each time a non-authorized vehicle enters the ZTL (whether to drop off the luggage or any other motive), during the restricted hours, it gets automatically fined. This happens to all non-authorized license plates, identified by telecameras on the limits of the ZTL. Thus, it's a standard procedure to get fined once you enter the ZTL, during the specified hours and days. In order to cancel such ticket one needs to park the car inside a private garage (at least for one hour) and ask the garage assistant to cancel it. Every private garage inside the ZTL has authorization for that, which is done immediately, online. Furthermore, only residents can park on the streets inside the ZTL. Therefore if you want to leave your car inside the ZTL you must pay for a private garage the entire period of your stay. You cannot park it on the streets.

The nearest place to unload the car without entering the ZTL is Piazza della Stazione (station's square).
